About Us
Vitis Ridge has five partners, including Glen Brunger, Chris and Sharon Deckelmann and Bruce and Sally Eich. Chris and Bruce began making wine in the Deckelmann’s garage over fifteen years ago. What began as a hobby has turned into a serious craft. Five years ago Glen became Chief Winemaker for Vitis Ridge. Glen has been making wine more than 20 years and over his last five years at Vitis Ridge has increased the number of varietals produced from five to eighteen.
Chris and Bruce still lend their hands and expertise in crafting our wines but Chris is the grape grower. Along with his wife Sharon, the Deckelmanns currently grow six varietals of grapes on over 80 acres. Sharon also plans and books events for the winery. Bruce and Sally can be found at most events and festivals pouring wine and chatting with visitors, additionally Sally is the office manager for the winery.
About the Winery
We are a small boutique winery producing approximately 2500 cases of wine per year. We believe that with our combined skills of winemaking and vineyard expertise we can produce a unique handcrafted wine for the public to enjoy. At our Vitis Ridge Tasting Room, which also serves as our processing and storage facility, guests are invited to walk among the barrels while tasting our award winning wines for hands on experience.
As a member of the East Valley Wine Group, many which are family owned and operated, we encourage people to come taste our wines, hear our stories and enjoy the experience of the small winery.
